Strategy and business development
Student Assistant to strengthen analysis of biomass markets
Imagine a future where you utilise your analytic skills within economics and business to provide insights into Bioenergy’s supply chain, the biomass markets, and the broader energy complex
Join us in this role where you’ll work with price & quantity forecasts, supply and demand analysis, market assessments, and more broadly help to shape the analytical foundation for decision making with colleagues and management.
Welcome to the Bioenergy Fuel
You’ll be part of the Fuel Team where you, together with your colleagues, will provide analytical insight and support to a dedicated and collaborative team of traders, originators, planners, business developers, and management responsible for sourcing biomass to our combined heat and power plants.
As a team, we believe in collaboration and always help each other to achieve the best results. We have an informal and open culture with English as a primary language where we learn from each other and appreciate open-mindedness and commitment.
You’ll play an important role in:
- analysing Bioenergy’s supply chain and operations
- analysing biomass markets and the broader energy complex
- preparing the content in recurring deliveries to colleagues and management
- gathering, maintaining, and analysing energy markets data
- writing, presenting, and disseminating findings and results.
To succeed in the role, you:
- are currently studying economics, business, or another relevant discipline, and have at least two years left before graduating
- are interested in understanding the energy markets and our position in these
- have good skills within data analysis and presentation, and comfortable with tools such as Excel and Power Point
- are interested in visualising and communicating results
- have interest in code-based analytics such as Python, R or SQL
- speak and write English fluently.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
