Quality Initiatives Project Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll use your leadership skills to ensure a fit for use quality management system is embedded throughout the organisation.  We offer a unique and varied experience where you’ll be rolling out an updated asset project quality assurance framework.  This includes an overhauled gate review process with focus on quality risk management tools, the lessons learned process, and total cost of quality KPI as a means to drive continual improvement.

Welcome to QHSE
You’ll be part of the global Project Quality Management team where you, together with your colleagues, will lead implementation of the project quality framework. You’ll be working throughout the organisation at a broad range of levels to ensure quality processes are well defined, understood, and robustly used. As a team, we collaborate across asset projects, as well as focusing on strategic tool development and rollout across the organisation. We deliver best practices to maximise quality.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • acting as subject matter expert in project management leveraging the principles of project management to drive the appropriate behavior in the project performance domains
  • managing stakeholders to ensure that business value and expectations are understood
  • tabulating and presenting business value of projects to drive data-based decision making
  • ensuring that quality, process ownership, and culture is embedded throughout the EPC asset project life cycle
  • driving a culture of quality excellence (systems, processes, behaviours, and accountability) through initiatives impacting business areas such as engineering, project services and EPC projects.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have relevant professional or academic background, including experience managing projects within offshore projects and experience managing large scale organisational projects is a plus
  • have a structured approach toward addressing challenges and be conscious about interpersonal sensitivities when working within diverse teams including our international environment
  • communicate proactively, in a clear and precise manner, and be able to present to various internal and external stakeholders including use of financial justification or evaluation
  • lead by example when it comes to project management practices and ability to remain calm even if pressure is getting high and resistance is met by colleagues, contractors, or stakeholders
  • can effectively identify and champion areas of improvement and are not afraid of challenge common practice when appropriate.
