We’ll offer you an intensive two-year learning journey that will allow you to develop your talent
and skills, enabling you to play your part in creating a world that runs entirely on green energy.

Step closer to a career with a purpose

This is a development programme for new graduates who want to step into a fun and challenging role within their field and embark on an intense learning journey. Through our programme, we aim to forge innovative future leaders and specialists who’ll shape Ørsted’s journey to being a true catalyst of systemic change for a greener future.

To qualify for the two-year programme, you’ll have graduated with good credentials and have a bachelor’s, master’s, or equivalent degree in business, finance, law, procurement, engineering, science, IT, or another related field.

If this sounds like you, simply apply for one of our graduate positions advertised online. If you’re accepted into the programme, you’ll have the unique opportunity of working in three different teams at Ørsted, giving you the chance to work on several projects to build your experience and knowledge.

When you’re hired as part of the graduate programme, you’re hired on a permanent employment contract from day one.  Find out more in the How to apply section.

Apply now

You’re not chosen as a graduate – you’re hired for a career!

As a journey designed to develop your skills and expertise, this renewable energy graduate programme offers structured development as well as extensive learning and networking opportunities.

During your rotations, you’ll work with subject matter experts on real projects and tasks while receiving training on the go.

You’ll meet and interact with your fellow graduates and build a strong network across the organisation as well as with other experts within your field.

For some positions, rotating abroad may also be a possibility, giving you an opportunity to live and work in another country.

The programme is designed to boost your learning and development within these two areas:

Business experience
This is the backbone of your learning and development, where you’ll apply your expertise to influence day-to-day business decisions. You’ll build your capabilities through the rotations, get involved in international project work, and take real responsibility from day one.

Networking
You’ll have a senior career mentor and a buddy, who’ll help you make the most of your talent. Throughout the programme, you’ll participate in development sessions with your mentor, buddy, and fellow graduates to support your on-the-job learning. Your mentor will guide, encourage, and challenge you to increase your awareness of your strengths.

Shared learning journey
As a graduate, you’ll also have the opportunity to undertake various modules with your global cohort, both face-to-face and virtually. These modules will provide a platform for you to further develop your understanding of our business and industry as well as opportunities for you to develop critical, transferable skills. They’ll also allow for networking with the rest of your graduate cohort and other global colleagues.

 What you’ll need to apply:

  • Completion of your bachelor’s or master’s degree by 1 September 2025 or equivalent experience.
  • A maximum of one year of full-time, relevant work experience between completing your master's degree and 1 September 2025 OR one-two years of full-time, relevant work experience between completing your bachelor’s degree and 1 September 2025.
  • Your latest grade transcript from your school or university.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Submission of your application no later than on 5 January 2025.

While you must have completed a degree by 1 September 2025, we’re also open to candidates with transferable skills, relevant experiences, or different qualifications within a range of disciplines.

What we’re looking for in a candidate:

  • A high level of ambition with a strong personal drive.
  • An international, collaborative mindset.
  • An open-minded attitude with good listening skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good credentials.
  • A desire to make the most of the programme opportunities.
  • An innovative approach and a readiness to bring fresh ideas to the table.

How to apply

Our 2024 graduate recruitment is closed. The 2025 program will be open for applications in November 2024.

  1. Select a position from the list
Select the positions you want to apply for. Choose the positions that appeal to you and are relevant for your area of study. You can apply for several positions in the Ørsted Global Graduate Programme, but we recommend you focus your efforts on the roles that best match your skills, education, and interests.

  2. Prepare your application
Update your CV, obtain a digital version of your most recent grade transcript, and be ready to explain your motivation for becoming an Ørsted graduate. You’ll be asked some screening questions in the job application form, which will help us further understand you as a potential candidate.

  3. Submit your application
Apply online via the relevant graduate job advert. Create an account, fill in the application form, and upload your documents. Remember to upload your most recent grade transcript as a supporting document. You’ll receive a confirmation email shortly after you’ve submitted your application.

  4. Application review process
We’ll carefully screen all applications, looking for academic achievements, motivation, and mindset. You’ll always hear back from us regardless of the outcome of your application.

  5. Assessment
If you pass the initial screening round, you’ll be invited to a video assessment, and, if successful, you’ll be invited to the virtual Ørsted Global Graduate Assessment Days. During the assessment process, we’ll focus on your achievements, your expectations of the programme, and how you can make a positive impact at Ørsted. The video assessment will be used to supplement the information you give us in your application and at the assessment days.

  6. Timeline and important dates
Due to the number of applications we receive and the various stages of the assessment process, the graduate recruitment process has longer deadlines than a standard recruitment. We expect all candidates to have been chosen in March 2025.

The virtual assessment days will take place on 26-27 February 2025.

  7. Welcome to Ørsted
Congratulations! You’re part of the team – and we want you to feel welcome straight away. Your onboarding journey starts before you arrive on your first day, and you’ll receive all the information you need to succeed. We have a specific onboarding programme for graduates, so you can meet your peers and get thoroughly acquainted with our company and culture.
