A global company

Over the last 25 years Ørsted has become a global leader in offshore wind, with a 25% market share. We develop, construct and operate offshore wind farms in Europe, Asia and the U.S, and have built enough offshore wind capacity to power 9.5 million people. We plan to triple this number over the next decade.


Global leaders in offshore wind

Our Malaysia office is part of a global team consisting of IT specialists with more than 240 employees located in our office. Ørsted have been active in Malaysia since 2010 and have grown to be part of Ørsted’s global IT division.

Pioneering solutions

The Malaysian office works closely with the business units in Denmark and Northern Europe to create and support pioneering IT solutions. Using a wide variety of tools from Sharepoint, .Net, GIS and SAP we are central in supporting Ørsted to create it´s vision of a world running entirely on green energy.

It is important to me to acquire and develop people that fit into our agile delivery model. We are on an ambitious digital strategy to be a leading digital utility by 2020, we’ll need to achieve high performance rapidly on our ever-changing activities to reach the strategy’s ambitions.

  • Our Smart Grid department helps collect and analyze data to trouble shoot any issue that befall wind turbines in our offshore farms. The department support the development of a smart grid for the future to ensure a more reliable support of power.
  • Workspace Operations strives to deliver world class operational support for end-user tools and services.
  • Our Domain Knowledge department handle a portfolio of 70+ software solutions.
  • In just 2018, we have established UNIX, Workplace Operations, Service Operations, Application Operation Support and EPIC.
