Wind Farm Operations Manager
Imagine a future where you take up the exciting challenge of managing one of our flagship offshore Taiwanese wind farms
Join us in this role where you’ll begin your journey as a key stakeholder in the ramp-up phase of our new Greater Changhua wind farm that we call CHW2204. You’ll be instrumental in creating and implementing a new way of working, using your experience and expertise to create a world-class operation across both our Taiwanese wind farms. You’ll then transition to working offshore from our state-of-the-art service operations vessel (SOV) and manage a team of skilled technicians on a shift rotation (14/14) to service and operate our offshore wind turbines.
Welcome to Greater Changhua Operations and Maintenance
You’ll be part of the CHW2204 Operations team where you, together with your colleagues, will be deployed to our Greater Changhua offshore wind farm. You’ll be expected to spend your on-shift living on and working from the SOV on a two-week on/off shift pattern. Your base location will be Taichung Hub (TCH), where you’ll embark the SOV. You’ll report to the head of site in Taichung and be responsible for taking leadership of your team and keeping them safe. As a team, we value openness, honesty, and engagement in communicating your ideas and observations.
You’ll play an important role in:
- developing a strong, positive quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) culture and ensuring that there’s focus on continuously maintaining and improving standards
- being responsible for the line management and development of the technicians in your team
- coordinating technician resources and shift patterns
- being responsible for the operation of the wind farm during your 14-day shift rotation and supporting the head of site on safe delivery and performance of operations and maintenance at site
- managing the daily planning and communication to our main contractor and other third-party companies working on the site
- utilizing and upkeeping multiple reporting systems to ensure that safety, performance, and generation records are kept accurate and up to date.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a relevant educational background with experience in operational management, ideally within the engineering, manufacturing, or utilities business
- have an analytical approach to your work, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously and calmly without losing perspective
- have experience with team, performance, and line management
- are willing to live and work away from home, onboard our SOV
- are able to create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external business partners
- speak and write English fluently.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
