Strategy and business development
Commercial Project Manager
Imagine a future where you’re at the forefront of system integration and building one of the largest battery storage projects in Europe co-located with Hornsea 3 wind farm
Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for project managing the commercial workstreams on the 300MW UK Hornsea Three battery storage project during the construction phase including managing and delivering the revenue strategy for the project and leading the negotiation of key commercial agreements.
Welcome to Region Europe Project Development
You’ll be part of the Commercial Project Development team where you, together with your colleagues, will manage commercial aspects for projects (both offshore wind and system integration projects) in the development and execution phase. You will be part of a wider team of commercial managers; however, you will report into the Project Manager leading the execution of the Hornsea Three battery storage project and work on the battery storage project full-time.
As a team, we support each other by sharing knowledge and experience, embrace learning opportunities through regular training sessions and ensure well-being is at the core of our team.
You’ll play an important role in:
- leading the negotiation and management of key commercial agreements, including co-operation, crossing and proximity and interface agreements
- managing commercial workstreams through the construction phase including delivering the trading and revenue strategy for the project in preparation for market entry and commercial operations
- being responsible for budgets, programme, and risk in your work package and preparing the commercial documentation necessary to support internal governance processes
- driving forward potential business case levers to improve overall project returns
To succeed in the role, you:
- have extensive experience working and negotiating with external stakeholders on a major infrastructure project
- have a high degree of financial literacy and project management capability as well as experience with commercial, contract, or project management, ideally within the energy storage sector or offshore wind sector
- can thrive in an international environment and are able to create excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
- have a strong understanding of the UK Energy market and an understanding of the UK regulatory framework in which offshore wind operates (e.g. OFTO regime) is a plus
- have outstanding communication skills, with the ability to translate complex solutions into compelling narratives for various audiences.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
